Once there was a settlement called Mnich here, but aft er the post-war expulsion of German inhabitants it became an inaccessible border area. Now you can play golf in the grassy clearings in the middle of the forest. The “Mnich” course together with the 9-hole golf “Nová Bystřice” course form the entire Golf Resort Monachus. Both the courses are next to each other, about 2 km away from the center of Nová Bystřice.
