In the close vicinity of the Blatná Castle, Baron Francis Hildprandt built a sugar refi nery in 1812 that was rebuilt into a distillery in 1885. Since then, production of distillates and fi nal products, mainly fruit distillates, has been a tradition there. Since 2016, the rebuilt brewery has followed the tradition of the Hildprandt family, and brewing has been renewed aft er more than 30-year pause.
Produced beers: Blatenský Kohout – light lager 11°, semi-dark lager 12°. Both lagers are unfi ltered and non-pasteurized.
