The Šumava Brewery (Šumavský pivovar) was founded in 2010. It is located on the lower end of the square in Vimperk and follows the long-term tradition of beer brewing in Vimperk. It is based on traditional formulas and procedures.
Produced beers: Vimperk light lager 11°; Vimperk semi-dark lager 12°; Vimperk dark specialty 13°; Vimperk hibiscus lager 11° (Florián); Vimperk wheat beer 12°; Vimperk light ale 13° Generál Patton; Vimperk ginger specialty 13°; Vimperk Märzenbier 14°; Vimperk honey specialty 15°; Vimperk golden Bock 16°; Vimperk 7-malt specialty 17°; Vimperk amber Doppelbock 18°; Vimperk dark Doppelbock 19° (Inocenc) and Středověký Vimperk 12°.
Where to taste and buy: Restaurant serves cold meals to be eaten with beer. A factory shop in the brewery premises provides retail sale of beer, sale of advertising goods.
Brewery visit: Guided tours around the brewery with beer tasting; maximum number of persons in the group by agreement.
